Elon Reeve Musk (Pretoria, South Africa, June 28, 1971) is an investor and entrepreneur born in South Africa with Canadian and American nationality. Musk is known for co-founding PayPal, Tesla Motors, SpaceX, Hyperloop, SolarCity, The Boring Company and OpenAI. By 2018, he is CEO of SpaceX, CEO of Tesla Motors, president of SolarCity and co-president of OpenAI. In June of 2017, his fortune was estimated at 17.4 million US dollars, which made him the 56th richest person in the world. In December 2016, Musk was named the 21st most powerful person in the world by Forbes magazine.
