From the very day you were born up to this very moment while you are reading this article, you are surrounded by negativity. It is bombarding you constantly! Your parents raised you the best way they could but in many ways this was like “the blind leading the blind”. They, as imperfect people, did an imperfect job. Your teachers tried to direct you as best they could with a flawed educational system as imperfect human beings also. Peers, hurting from emotional traumas, ridiculed and belittled you in the playground and beyond. Peer pressure has left you with emotional scars that just won‘t seem to heal.
There are a thousand reasons that can be given for your present position in life, your outlook and your lack of belief in yourself. However, “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”, Old Chinese Adage. In personal development that single, and most important, step is accountability or taking full responsibility for your life. To begin your steps and journey on the path to success it is of paramount importance to take accountability for the decisions, actions and thoughts that have lead you to where you currently are. You must stop blaming others for the way you feel, for the state of your life and your circumstances. The things that happened in the past cannot be changed, altered or removed. The past has already happened and what happened in the past should stay there. Your power is always in the present.

It was sold and distributed widely and read aloud at taverns and meeting places. In proportion to the population of the colonies at that time, it had the largest sale and circulation of any book published in American history.
Common Sense made public a persuasive and impassioned case for independence, which before the pamphlet had not yet been given serious intellectual consideration. Consideration is often monetary, but it can be a promise to perform a specific act, or a promise to refrain from doing something. In order for a contract or agreement to be legally binding, every party to the contract must receive some type of consideration. In other words, a contract is a two-way street, so each party must receive something of value from the other party or parties. Illegal or immoral acts are not legally considered to serve as consideration.

 7Consistency

Dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast spurts of work.
Be consistent in your relationships, your family, friends, your boss, your work.  Be the person that people can depend upon.  That if you say you’ll do something you do it.

The concept of consistency means that accounting methods once adopted must be applied consistently in future. Also same methods and techniques must be used for similar situations.
It implies that a business must refrain from changing its accounting policy unless on reasonable grounds. If for any valid reasons the accounting policy is changed, a business must disclose the nature of change, the reasons for the change and its effects on the items of financial statements.

Image result for ConsistencyConsistency concept is important because of the need for comparability, that is, it enables investors and other users of financial statements to easily and correctly compare the financial statements of a company.

8Commitment

No success is possible without commitment.  The ability to commit yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success.
Become totally absorbed in your work.  Be totally committed.
Some commitments are large, like marriage. When you take a job, you're making a commitment to show up and do the job well, and your employer makes a commitment to pay you. There are smaller commitments too. If you said you'd meet a friend at six, that's a commitment — show up or your friend will be mad. You also can speak of commitment as a quality. Staying after school for a study group shows your commitment to good grades.
Image result for CommitmentBeing committed to the work you are doing means giving your entire devotion and focus on the goal. Scientist devote their lives to research and this research is what drives their passion for doing what they do. This kind of focus should be applied to anything an individual seeks to accomplish and their accomplishment will seem to be accomplished much faster than expected. Practice makes permanent, this practice can forever become a habit and a way of life fr the individual that is doing what they are supposed to do.

9Courage

The fear of failure is the single greatest reason for failure in life.

This key is telling you the importance of commitment and why you should do it to. What does being commitment mean? It's the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause or activity. Being successful comes along with some special skills and one of those are being committed. When you're a committed person it shows others that you can be trusted. Especially when it comes to work managers like to see workers that are taking the job seriously and dedicate their time to do it correctly.

An example would be, when you go to college or a university you have to take interest in what you want to become and make a commitment, telling yourself that you're going to graduate and be successful. Being committed isn't something you earn but instead you work towards it. Just like your parents who are always committed of taking care of you, show them that you do the same when you come to school. Commitment is a big thing because you are determined to do anything. I can apply this key into my daily life because I will try to be committed to myself and my school work because it's important that I become someone in the future.

 10Confidence

Image result for ConfidenceYou only get confidence by doing things over and over again .Confidence is from within. A person can call you handsome/beautiful multiple times and not affect the listener. The listener chooses what to listen to and how it will affect them.
Confidence is believing in yourself, regardless of what others believe. i have confidence in playing music and solos, even when in the only one playing, or in playing the highest note there. I practice so often, and play so much, in not afraid to be loud or better yet, to be heard. I have confidence that i can do what i have practiced doing. It is braver to face up to your fear of shyness, then to back down. Know what you can do and believe in yourself. The only one that can give a person confidence is themselves.  I can very much relate to this quote. I use to have a fear of public speaking. I let my fears get the best of me and I would hesitate to present or let my team mates do my part. Once I got over this fear I grew confident and presented greatly. I no longer stuttered or got nervous, I spoke loud and clear. Ever since I got over this fear I am successful in all my presentations. In every IDP I exceed in the presentation portion. I can now present in front of professionals, teachers, parents, and students.

Reflection

Personal power is about impowering yourself personally. This means making and learning to build yourself in order to improve. Having clear visions of what to open your mind to and what goals to pursue. It is findig total focus and determination to achieve and succeed. This means practice and this means finding ways to push yourself further and to further what you could be. Making schedules and setting aside time to build the empire within you. For impowering th e individual, one must concentrate on finding your key goal in life and as a person. Perhaps someone’s goal is to change the world, to make a massive global company, to start a foundation to save humanity, whatever the case, it means knowing what you desire and knowing how to achieve and push yourself forawrd to it. To rank in numbers and statistics, an individual must have common sense and use logic in making choices that can determine their future.
Image result for exito The values of a person must remain in tact and that’s difficult when people degrade a person’s values. Staying strong, and staying true to who you are can benefit the individual. It is a benefit and a secret weapon because no one can be what you are. An individual is individual. This means imagining and creating what has never been done before. This is something, a form of invention, only you can create. Within these thoughts the individual also takes consideration of actions and long term effects of the actions and how it affects those around her/him. To keep being strong, a person needs consistency. Be loyal, be strong, and never giving up. Staying and following your heart is the key. It is necessary to stay committed to your work and to be committed most importantly to yourself. Have the courage to fight and stand for yourself. Have the confidence to believe in yourself. With this, the world can’t stop you, and you’re invincible.
